Privacy Policy

Who we are

House of Huggles ("we", "us", "our") is an Australian children's party and events venue located at 627 Glen Huntly Road, Caulfield VIC 3162. We handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.

What we collect

  • Account details — your name, email address and phone number when you create an account or make a booking.
  • Booking details — party and event details you provide, including your child's first name and age so we can personalise the party. This is always provided by a parent or guardian; we never collect information directly from children.
  • Payments — payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card number; we keep only a record of the transaction (amount, date, status).
  • Social sign-in — if you choose to sign in with Google or Facebook, we receive only your name and email address from that provider. We never post to your accounts.
  • Reviews and RSVPs — content you choose to submit, such as reviews and guest RSVP responses.
  • Technical data — session cookies needed for the site to work, and a Cloudflare Turnstile check that protects our forms from bots. We do not run advertising trackers.

How we use it

We use your information to take and manage bookings, process payments, send transactional emails (confirmations, invoices, reminders and RSVP invitations you request), publish reviews you submit once approved, and keep the site secure. We do not sell personal information, and we only send marketing if you have opted in.

Who we share it with

We share information only with the service providers needed to run the business: Stripe (payment processing), our email delivery provider (transactional email), Google or Meta (only when you choose them to sign in), and Microsoft Azure (secure hosting). Each provider handles your data under its own privacy policy and our instructions.

How long we keep it

We keep your account information while your account is active. Booking and payment records are retained as required by Australian tax and business record-keeping laws, after which they are deleted or anonymised. You can request deletion at any time — see our data deletion page.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it . If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.
